The World Ocean School is an internationally focused nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing challenging educational programs aboard the schooner Roseway.
The World Ocean School, operating the National Historic Landmark schooner, Roseway, accepts applications throughout the year for positions aboard the ship that support the ongoing educational programs in the Northeast and St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. Positions are live aboard and require at least a one season commitment with an opportunity for a long term employment aboard Roseway. STCW 95 certification is required to work aboard.

Job includes all aspects of tall ship sailing both coastal and offshore as well as an ability and desire to work with kids of all ages in both day and overnight programs. Applicant should be an enthusiastic, flexible, and energetic leader with experience in the industry. Room and board provided on the ship.
Crew aboard Roseway are required to wear uniforms and present a tidy and clean appearance at all times. Roseway crew are not permitted to consume alcohol or smoke aboard the vessel, and must be willing to undergo drug-testing in compliance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations.
