Meet The Team
Alex Berman
Alex was born and raised in New York City, and fell in love with sailing on the schooner Pioneer at the South Street Seaport Museum. After volunteering and working at SSSM for two years during high school, they decided to take the plunge and defer college to spend a year on a tall ship! Alex loves all (well, most) aspects of tall ship life, and is particularly excited to engage with maritime history alongside students and crew mates and to swim in the Caribbean.
When not sailing, Alex enjoys playing DND, writing, and hanging out with their two cats, named Alcott and Fish. When sailing, Alex enjoys tripping and falling all over the place.
