Alexandria Seaport Foundation Day 3

October 16, 2026

Today had been the highlight of this adventure for me. My day started at 12am when me and the rest of A watch were appointed to stand watch for 4 hours. Surprisingly, it actually was kinda fun. The weather once the sun came up has just been gorgeous. Blue skies, cool temps. We watched the sun set and sang sea shanties. That’s probably been my favorite part of the whole trip. Anyways, we are approaching Norfolk, and this journey is coming to an end. It’s been a great time and I’ll never forget this.

Today I saw stars and an orange moon and that was my highlight. I also cooked with chef Andy. He taught me how to dice and onion, and I felt what it was like in his shoes. I’m excited to go home. I learned a lot and liked certain parts. Thanks

Today was a 10/10 weather day. The sun reflected on the water creating clear blue waves that lapped against the boat. This as a magical contrast to the rainy and cold day prior. We harnessed up & climbed onto the bow sprit creating a new adventure. We all left feeling brave & relaxed. The vibe of the group allows for laughter & connection. We closed a great day!

Today was a team bonding filled day. I like the shanties Analia taught today (my fault if I spelled her name wrong) - it was great. We set sails took sails down. Took a lot of pics had a great interview with Virginia. I liked the help Viv gave me with the barometer. I feel sad leaving imma miss this, everyone and everything except the bilge (I laughed). I would not mind coming back. Imma miss everyone especially team A!
