Meet The Team
Brianna Lusher
Brianna is from Northern New York, near where the St. Lawrence meets Lake Ontario. She moved to Long Island and got her bachelors degree in Marine Vertebrate Biology and Japanese Studies because she loves fish and Japanese music and literature. She began sailing straight out of college, and has covered Long Island Sound, the Northeast, the US West Coast, the Hudson River, and Lake Michigan. Her favorite previous boats were the Exy Johnson and the Lettie G Howard. The year before and during the pandemic, Brianna ran after school programs and worked as a foreman in a dairy factory, and after in a shipyard. She’s excited to be working with students and crew again on Roseway, where she feels the most useful education and connections are made.
