Meet The Team

Coltin Bridgmon

Coltin grew up in Colorado with a passion for the outdoors, adventure, and hands-on learning. Before joining the crew aboard the Denis Sullivan, he spent four years teaching parkour and gymnastics, where he developed a love for mentorship, leadership, and helping students build confidence through new experiences. His passion for wilderness education also led him to earn his Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification while living on the remote Santa Cruz Island off the California coast. Outside of the classroom, Coltin has sailed through the U.S. Virgin Islands and hiked in Patagonia, experiences that deepened his appreciation for exploration and the natural world.

This fall, Coltin will attend Wofford College to study environmental engineering with interests in climate science, marine ecosystems, and conservation. His lifelong dream is to study Arctic and Antarctic marine wildlife while contributing to climate change and environmental research. Aboard the Denis Sullivan, he hopes to help students discover the same confidence, curiosity, and sense of possibility that mentors and educators helped inspire him throughout his own life and adventures.
