Meghan Casey
Meghan is an urban planner at the Massachusetts Port Authority, working in the Real Estate and Asset Management Department. She is passionate about shaping urban spaces that promote health, economic prosperity, equity, and joy while being environmentally responsible. In her role at Massport, she collaborates closely with City of Boston and Massachusetts state agencies, neighboring communities, and private development partners to protect and promote the maritime economy, advance neighborhood placemaking initiatives, and steward environmental sustainability. Meghan holds bachelor’s degrees in both Economics and Architectural Studies from Tufts University, as well as a master’s degree in Urban Planning from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
Meghan was introduced to World Ocean School through their tenancy at the historic Boston Fish Pier, a Massport property. She grew up in Milwaukee and has close ties to the Milwaukee sailing community, making the connection to WOS and Denis Sullivan especially meaningful.
