Sophia Moyer
Sophia is from Columbia, MD and grew up sailing with her family in the Chesapeake Bay. She studied Environmental Science and Policy at the University of Maryland and has been working in the maritime industry for the past three years. Sophia most enjoys teaching environmental and sailing education programs to students of all ages, sharing her interest in local ecosystems and inspiring her students to find fascination in the many corners of the natural world. She also likes sailing fast!! Outside of sailing, you can find Sophia cooking for her loved ones, swimming, and adventuring. Sophia has really enjoyed her time aboard the Denis Sullivan so far and is looking forward to more adventures in the Boston season!
