Hi Mom, I saw lots of whales today and got to go up on the masts and that was pretty fun and dinner was good 🙂.

I’ve lost track of how many days I’ve been on this boat. Days have been getting slightly repetitive. Wake up, breakfast, chores, rotations, lunch, more rotations, dinner, more chores, night activity, go to bed, get woken up for night watch, complete night watch, go back to sleep. These repetitive patterns aren’t gonna stop me from having a good time on the boat, and I’ve recently been obsessed with tying knots with rope. Today’s dinner is the best meal I’ve had on the boat so far.

-Richard

the crew rises from below deck

and observes a ship, already set

90 miles from Nantucket to P-town

each crew laboring, not to let each other down

a school of whales greet our sails

a thousand awes bestow them, from head to tail

-Mikhail

Sail beyond the Horizon

Set to sea and wander,

Set to sea and sail,

To see the sky and ponder,

to see the world lift its veil,

Life’s about the journey,

About the wonders you behold,

Don’t spend your life a’ yearning,

Just watch all the wonders unfold.

-Remick
