Ashley Hall (Day 1)

April 1, 2026

After a long wait we boarded our first flight to Atlanta, which was very smooth. Many girls vlogged and watched movies. We landed in Atlanta and many got breakfast as it was around 9. After a fun layover the girls boarded the flight to St. Croix. Once we began approaching St. Croix we were surrounded by beautiful aquamarine water and beautiful islands. We then landed in St. Croix where the weather was nice and warm with a slight breeze. Everyone picked up their duffel bags and some girls changed. We then split into three groups and took a van ride to the dock where the Denis Sullivan was awaiting us. Dr. Davis accidentally left his backpack in one of the vans and he had to venture back to get it. Girls then partook in bonding exercises before boarding the ship. Girls split into their watch groups and made their berths. They then did med check ins, safety precaution overviews, and finally they learned more about the ship and went on a tour of the boat. Girls then had the opportunity to organize their berths and they did their wacky shirt exchange. They then hung out on deck and practiced count offs, all hands musters, and of course their singing. Girls then helped set up for dinner on deck and they had gumbo, salad, and bread (which was delicious!). Finally girls split into watches to complete basic chores.
