Ashley Hall (Day 6)

April 6, 2026

Hello outside world! The ship's been totally radical lately. Today we saw a pilot whale. We originally thought it was a dolphin but after further inspection we realized it was a whale. We even saw a shark. Today we learned figure 8, square, bowline, and clove hitch knots. Our second mate Autumn gave us ramen and a spoonful of crunchy peanut butter and we were enthralled. We finished our evening reading Anne Frank's Diary and having a group journalling session by the sunset. We are expecting mid-rats as we write this. The wind has been super light so we have been using the engines a lot today. We also passed by a note in a bottle but unfortunately couldn't grab it. Lastly we saw Cuba today, the last land we will see until the U.S.A. Goodbye.
